No. Aniva focuses on prevention, personalized diagnostics, and ongoing optimization. It's designed to complement primary care, not replace it. For urgent or chronic medical issues outside our scope, continue to work with your primary care physician.
You can reach our team at hello@aniva.health for general inquiries, or concierge@aniva.health for member-specific questions about your results, appointments, or action plan.
We're actively exploring integrations with wearable devices. For now, Aniva focuses on blood biomarker data and genetic testing — the gold standard for health insights that wearables can't provide. Combining wearable data with blood work is the ideal approach to health optimization, and we plan to support this in the future.
Aniva combines the depth of a clinical-grade panel (100+ biomarkers from a single venous blood draw at a professional lab) with personalized health insights. Your results include a biological age calculation, a tailored action plan with nutrition, supplement, and lifestyle recommendations, and access to a Health Concierge for follow-up questions. We don't just hand you data — we help you understand and act on it.
A standard blood test at your GP typically covers a limited set of markers — usually a basic metabolic panel, cholesterol, and a blood count. Aniva's testing is 7x more extensive than a standard medical checkup. We test 100+ biomarkers in one session, provide a personalized action plan with concrete recommendations, calculate your biological age, and give you ongoing access to a Health Concierge. Your results are presented in an interactive dashboard rather than a static lab report, making them easier to understand and act on.
Most blood tests are designed to look for disease once it's already there. At Aniva, we look for potential — spotting early signs of nutrient gaps, inflammation, or metabolic changes before they become problems. Your first test creates a clear health baseline. From there, you'll receive a personalized action plan and the option to add supplements or repeat tests whenever you choose. You also have continuous access to our concierge to answer questions and guide you as your health evolves.
Yes. Our Core Panel is designed for both men and women. It includes key markers relevant to women's health, such as thyroid hormones, ferritin (iron stores — particularly important for menstruating women), Vitamin D, and inflammation markers. For a deeper hormonal profile, we offer specialized add-on panels including our Female Hormones Advanced panel.
Aniva is for anyone who wants to take a proactive approach to their health. Our members range from biohackers and fitness enthusiasts to busy professionals who simply want to know what's going on inside their body. You don't need to be sick or have symptoms — in fact, the biggest value comes from catching imbalances early, before they become problems.
Only you — and the Aniva team members who need access to generate your action plan and provide concierge support. Your data is never shared with employers, insurers, or anyone else without your explicit consent.
Yes. Privacy and security are core to how Aniva works. You own your data, always. We only use your data to deliver your personal health recommendations. Your data is stored securely following GDPR and German data protection standards. Only you and Aniva's core health engine (AI + nutrition team) have access to your personal insights. Lab testing is handled by certified partner laboratories — they only see the data needed to run your tests. We never sell your data. Ever.
Yes. You can always reach out via our concierge chat (included in your membership) to ask questions or clarify anything about your test results or action plan. If you'd like a deeper, structured walkthrough, you can optionally schedule a health consultation call with a physician for an additional fee.
The Aniva Membership is €199/year and includes your first Core Panel blood test (100+ biomarkers), a personalized action plan, your biological age calculation, and access to our Health Concierge. The membership is cancellable anytime. Additional tests within the same year are available at a 20% member discount. For example, a second Core Panel costs €239.20. Add-on panels are priced separately — see anivahealth.com/panels for details.
You can schedule your next blood test directly through the Aniva platform, or email concierge@aniva.health with your preferred dates. We recommend retesting after 8–12 weeks of following your action plan to track progress.
Your membership includes access to our Health Concierge for ongoing guidance. For a deeper clinical discussion, we offer optional consultation calls with a physician as a paid add-on. For clinical follow-ups requiring medical attention, we recommend taking your results to your GP — they're formatted to be easy to share.
The Health Concierge is your personal point of contact at Aniva. They can answer questions about your results, help you understand your action plan, assist with booking follow-up tests, and guide you on next steps. A certified nutritionist monitors these conversations and is ready to help guide you. You can reach the concierge anytime via the platform or at concierge@aniva.health.
As a member, you receive a 20% discount on all additional tests. A second Core Panel costs €239.20 (before discount: €299). Add-on panels are also available at the member rate. Many of these tests are hard to access anywhere else and can easily cost up to twice as much compared to Aniva.
Yes — we offer gift cards so you can give someone the gift of a comprehensive health check. It's a popular choice for birthdays, holidays, or as a corporate wellness perk.

Yes. The Aniva membership is cancellable anytime — no lock-in period, no cancellation fees. Just write to us and we'll take care of it.
Currently, no. Germany's public health insurance does not cover elective preventive blood testing like Aniva's Core Panel. However, at €199/year, Aniva costs less than many single specialist visits and provides far more comprehensive testing than a standard checkup.
In most cases, yes. The Aniva membership qualifies as a preventive health measure ("Gesundheitsvorsorge"), and the majority of our privately insured members receive full reimbursement. After purchase, we provide a detailed invoice that you can submit to your insurer. If your insurer has questions, we're happy to assist directly.
Most German private health insurers (PKV) reimburse the Aniva membership as a preventive health measure ("Gesundheitsvorsorge" / "Prävention"). Whether you receive full reimbursement depends on your specific tariff — particularly whether it covers digital health applications or preventive services. We recommend submitting the invoice we provide after purchase to your insurer. In our experience, the majority of privately insured members receive full reimbursement. If your insurer has questions, we're happy to speak with them directly. Public health insurance (GKV) does not currently cover the membership.
Yes — we offer Klarna as a payment option, so you can split the cost into installments at checkout.
Yes. Beyond your baseline Core Panel, you can buy add-on diagnostics such as advanced hormone panels, omega fatty acid profiles, environmental toxins, STDs, allergies, and more. We'll advise which options make sense based on your previous lab results and health goals.
Yes. You can download a PDF or share a link directly from the Aniva platform. Your results are formatted to be easily understood by any healthcare provider.
Your action plan is created with the involvement of medical experts — doctors and researchers shape the framework and recommendations. We also use AI to analyze all the data we have from you (your questionnaire answers, blood panel results, and any genetic data). The result is a deeply personalized plan that combines clinical expertise with data-driven precision.
The action plan and biomarker overview is designed to be understandable without medical training, and every marker comes with a personalized recommendation. We also offer optional consultation calls with a physician as a paid add-on if you want deeper clinical context.
Yes. Your Aniva dashboard tracks your biomarker values across tests, so you can see trends and measure the impact of lifestyle changes. This longitudinal view is one of the most valuable aspects of regular testing — individual snapshots are useful, but trends tell the real story.
Your biological age is derived from a combination of your blood biomarker results — including markers related to inflammation, metabolism, organ function, and nutrient levels. It's not based on a single number but on the overall pattern of your health data. Unlike chronological age, biological age can go up or down based on lifestyle, diet, exercise, and other factors.
Yes. Research shows that targeted lifestyle changes — better sleep, regular exercise, improved nutrition, stress management, and addressing nutrient deficiencies — can measurably reduce biological age markers. Many Aniva members see improvement in their biological age after following their action plan for 3–6 months and retesting.
Each biomarker in your dashboard shows your measured value alongside reference ranges: optimal, normal, and out-of-range. We go beyond standard "normal" ranges and show you optimal ranges based on the latest research — because "normal" doesn't always mean "healthy." Your action plan explains what each result means in plain language and what to do about it.
Your biological age is calculated from your biomarker data and reflects how your body is aging relative to your chronological age. It's one of the key metrics in your dashboard and updates with each new test — so you can track the impact of lifestyle changes over time.
Your action plan flags high-priority findings and recommends next steps. For values that may require medical attention, we recommend sharing your results with your GP or specialist. Your Aniva results are formatted to be easy to share with any healthcare provider, and our Health Concierge can help you understand what to discuss with your doctor.
You can and we encourage it — especially for any values flagged as high priority. Your results are presented in a format that any healthcare provider can understand. Many of our members use their Aniva data as a starting point for more focused conversations with their GP or specialist. You can download a PDF or share a link directly from the platform.
Standard lab reference ranges define "normal" as the middle 95% of the population — which includes many people who aren't in great health. Optimal ranges are narrower and based on evidence linking specific levels to better health outcomes and longevity. For example, a Vitamin D level of 30 ng/mL may be "normal," but research suggests 40–60 ng/mL is optimal. Aniva uses age- and gender-specific optimal ranges for every marker.
Yes. If you experience any concerns with your action plan, contact us through the Aniva platform or concierge. Your plan can be adjusted as needed to ensure it works optimally for your body and health goals.
Once your blood test results are ready, we turn the data into a clear, personal action plan: 1) Results you understand — we tell you what's going well and what needs attention, in plain language. 2) Supplement recommendations — picked specifically for you, optional to purchase. 3) Lifestyle guidance — suggestions for sleep, nutrition, exercise, and daily habits. 4) Health dashboard — track how you're doing over time in one place. Your plan updates with each new test — smarter data leads to a smarter plan.
Your action plan is a personalized report generated from your biomarker results (and genetic data, if you opted in). It highlights areas for improvement, flags high-priority concerns, and gives concrete recommendations for nutrition, supplementation, exercise, and lifestyle — all tailored to your individual profile. This isn't a one-time PDF — your action plan evolves with each new test.
Yes. Your results and action plan are designed for laypeople — every marker comes with a clear, plain-language explanation and personalized recommendation. No medical jargon, no cryptic lab sheets. If you still have questions, your Health Concierge is always available.
Consistency is important for optimal results. If you occasionally miss doses, just continue with your regular schedule — no need to double up. For specific questions about your supplement plan, reach out to the concierge anytime.
No. Supplements are not required to be an Aniva member. Your membership already covers the essentials: biomarker testing, your evolving action plan, and concierge support. If you'd like to add supplements as part of your plan, you can do so through the platform — it's optional and entirely up to you.
If you choose to add supplements, we send you daily supplement packs uniquely made for you, based on your health data — your biomarker results, health questionnaire, and lifestyle. Your supplement plan changes as your needs do, so it's always tailored to your current state.
It depends on what you want to test and how often. We'll advise through the action plan what makes sense — for most people that's 1–2 tests per year. Follow-up tests can happen at one of our partner practices (venous blood draw) or at home using an easy-to-use finger-prick test kit mailed to your door. Your action plan will recommend which markers to retest based on what's critical to monitor, what changed in your last test, and what needs extra attention.
Your test results are analyzed by medical professionals. Our Aniva engine then uses your biomarker data to create personalized health plans targeting your specific needs. After your blood arrives at our partner lab, most of the analysis is done in-house, with specific diagnostics sent to specialized partner labs. Once complete, we prepare your results in a readable format with personalized reference ranges based on your gender and age, and present everything in your dashboard.
Your samples are processed by our certified medical partner laboratory in Germany, which follows strict quality controls and is regularly audited. All results are medically validated by a medical director and specialist in laboratory medicine to ensure the highest accuracy and reliability. For specific diagnostics like omega fatty acid profiles, samples are sent to specialized partner labs — there are fewer than 5 labs in Germany that test omega fatty acids.
Aniva works with a certified German partner lab that complies with GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) and is consistently audited. There may be a small natural variance on each marker, which is standard for any laboratory. If a blood marker is significantly off, we retest it or connect you with a doctor. Our comprehensive testing is 7x more extensive than a standard medical checkup, providing a much more complete picture of your health.
A blood test measures your current state — biomarker levels that change based on diet, lifestyle, sleep, and other factors. A genetic test reveals your fixed predispositions — how your body is wired to process nutrients, respond to exercise, or manage certain health risks. Combining both gives you the fullest picture: what's happening now, and what you're predisposed to.
The Core Panel alone delivers enormous value. Genetics is an optional add-on for those who want deeper, more personalized insights. It's particularly useful for understanding persistent patterns — for example, if your Vitamin D is consistently low despite supplementation, a CYP2R1 gene variant might explain why.
Yes. We offer an optional genetics add-on that analyzes key gene variants related to nutrient metabolism, cardiovascular risk, and other health factors. When combined with your blood biomarker data, genetic insights make your action plan even more precise — for example, certain gene variants affect how you metabolize Vitamin D or process cholesterol.
The initial Aniva Blood Test is your full-body check-up, but smarter, deeper, and built for prevention (not just diagnosis). We measure over 100 biomarkers, way more than a typical doctor visit, covering heart health (cholesterol, inflammation, lipoproteins), nutrient levels (vitamins, minerals, amino acids), metabolic health (blood sugar, insulin, liver & kidney markers), hormone balance, and fatty acids & omega-3 status. It's the starting point for your personal health blueprint and it's included as part of your yearly membership.
For the Core Panel, results are typically ready within 5 business days. Across all panels, 95% of results are available within 5–10 business days. If you booked additional specialized tests, some may take up to 2–4 weeks. You'll receive a notification as soon as your results and action plan are ready in the Aniva Health OS.
You're not alone — needle anxiety is very common. Our partner practices are experienced in working with patients who are nervous about blood draws. Let the staff know when you arrive, and they can take extra care. The draw itself is quick (under 5 minutes) and most members report it was easier than expected.
10–15 minutes at the partner practice.
Your initial Core Panel uses a standard venous blood draw from your arm — the clinical gold standard, allowing us to run the full range of 100+ biomarker tests with maximum accuracy. For some follow-up tests, we also offer at-home finger-prick test kits that are mailed to your door and sent back to the lab — convenient for targeted retests of specific markers.
A few small tubes — similar to any routine blood test at a doctor's office. The amount is well within safe limits and most people don't feel any different afterward.
Most people describe it as a brief pinch. The draw is performed by a trained professional at one of our partner practices using a standard venous blood draw (from your arm). It takes only a few minutes, and you can resume your normal activities immediately afterward.
After signing up, you choose a partner location and book a time slot through our platform. The blood draw itself takes up to 15 minutes. A trained professional at the partner practice handles the draw — you just show up fasted and hydrated.
Yes — and you should. Staying well hydrated makes the blood draw easier and more comfortable, as it keeps your veins accessible. Drink plenty of plain water in the hours leading up to your appointment. Avoid flavored or carbonated water.
Supplements can directly affect the biomarkers we're measuring — for example, taking Vitamin D supplements will raise your Vitamin D blood level and mask a deficiency. Stopping supplements 72 hours before your test ensures we measure your true baseline levels, which leads to more accurate and actionable results.
Continue taking any prescribed medications unless your doctor specifically tells you to stop. Some medications can affect certain biomarker levels, but stopping them without medical guidance can be harmful. If you're unsure, let us know which medications you take and we'll advise you.
No. You should avoid coffee (including black coffee) during your fasting period, as caffeine can affect glucose, cortisol, and other biomarker levels. Stick to plain water only in the 10–12 hours before your blood draw.
To ensure accurate results: 72 hours before, stop taking any supplements. 24 hours before, avoid alcohol, exercise, and intense physical activity. 10–12 hours before, begin fasting (no food) and drink plenty of water. Continue your regular medications unless instructed otherwise by your doctor, and let us know what you're taking.
We recommend at least once a year as a baseline — your membership includes a yearly Core Panel. If you're actively optimizing your health — adjusting diet, starting supplements, or training for performance — retesting every 6 months helps you measure the impact of your changes. Your action plan will include a recommended retest timeline based on your individual results.
A comprehensive blood panel is a set of lab tests run from a single blood draw that gives you a broad picture of your health. Standard panels at a doctor's office typically test 20–30 markers. Aniva's Core Panel goes far beyond that with 100+ biomarkers across hormones, metabolism, heart health, vitamins, minerals, inflammation, and more — giving you a significantly more complete view than a routine checkup.
There's no minimum age, but we recommend starting in your 20s or 30s. Establishing a baseline when you're young and healthy is one of the most valuable things you can do — it gives you a personal reference point to track changes over time. Most health guidelines recommend annual screening from age 40, but catching trends earlier is always better.
Yes — we offer group and corporate memberships. Reach out to hello@aniva.health with your team size and we'll put together a tailored offer.
